I was so enchanted by the islands of Venice. It was like being in a movie- everything was so beautiful, too beautiful. When I show friends and family the pictures, I try to explain how different and captivating this area is. I was also saddened when I left because I know it is slowly sinking, slowly dying- only kept alive on by the tourism industry. My husband wasn't as attracted to Venice as I was-so not sure if I will get back there again, but so thankful I got to experience this one of a kind city. |
| | Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!!!! Maybe things are more expensive in Venice, but you can't help but spend time shopping. In fact I could spend hours just window-shopping alone. Presentation is everything in the store fronts, and the displays are like eye-candy. Everything is so appealing and it was so entertaining to see! The stuff we could afford was in the open-air markets. The one we shopped in was the Rialto market, just at the base of the Rialto bridge. See my tips for more info on this market. |
