We stayed in Qawra which extends along the right side and southwards of Bugibba along the side of Salina Bay (an area that has been used for hundreds of years to extract sea salt from the Ocean) Both areas have excellent hotel and villa accommodation and some great Bars and restaurants with some fantastic beach facilities. Both Qawra and Bugibba now occupy nearly the entire peninsula with St. Pauls bay on the West side and Salina bay to the East Bugibba and Qawra merge together to become one although Qawra is a little more restrained than the more popular Bugibba. Qawra provides plenty of leisurely diversions including countless restaurants, shops and a number of bars and nightclubs as well as some nice 4 star hotels. |

travelinxs Thu Sep 10, 2009 00:04 UTC I dont know how I managed to miss this place on my trip to Malta! Oh well.. a good excuse to go back of course. Cheers. | volopolo Mon Aug 10, 2009 14:42 UTC Wonderful view over St Pauls Bay | HORSCHECK Mon Jul 27, 2009 20:21 UTC Gareth, excellent page about this Maltese gem. I am not too much of a museum-goer but probably would visit the Classic Car Museum as well. Malta is one of the very few EU countries, which I haven't visited yet. So it is about time ... :-) | mickeyboy07 Sat Jul 25, 2009 16:35 UTC Sounds and looks like a great place, great tips and nice photos |
