The Abbey Hotel - Bangor

The Abbey Hotel

The Abbey Hotel: Budget

The Abbey Hotel is situated right in the city centre on the High St. Because of it's location it is going to be quite noisey especialy on a Thursday night when lots of people leave Varsity in the early hours after the £1 per drink night. And I belive they are very very noisey.
If you don't mind a bit of noise though it is a cheap place to stay with rooms from £20

Travelodge, Bangor - Bangor

Travelodge, Bangor

Travelodge: Cheap Travelodge Bangor Wales Review
Show Prices

Rooms are Comfortable especially the Refurbished ones. The site lacks a Pub (although you can buy bottles from the Little Chef) Although whole place would be a lot better with a Pub Restaurant like the Premier Travelodge site has.

Although there is a bus into Bangor (66) every hour it does not run after 17:30 and so a car really is a must as it costs about £8 in a Taxi to or from Bangor (more after Midnight),
Downstairs there is a small shop which sells maps, postcards, toys, sandwhiches, drinks etc.
A Little chef restaurant and a Burger king.

The rooms cost From £19 if you bookmore than 21 days in advance so for that price you can not really complain.

The Regency Hotel, Bangor - Bangor

The Regency Hotel, Bangor

The Regency Hotel: A Nice Place The Regency Hotel Review

I stayed here quite a few years ago while working and it was a really nice place, the room was en-suite and nicely decorated with a very homely touch, The bar and restraunt downstairs is open to the public and was quite busy and very friendly. We ate here and the food was really good. I should be visiting Bangor a lot in the next 3 and a half years and i will certainly be staying here and hopefully it will be just as good.

Unique Qualities: Great food in the restaraunt
