Ferragudo is definatly one of the last remaining unspoilt fishing villages on the Algarve, It has beautiful narrow cobbled streets and steps, you can watch the fishermen bring in their catches and tend to their boats and nets or sit in the square and enjoy a drink. behind the square you will find a labyrinth of old cobbled streets and alleys which twist and turn up the hill to the towns Church from were great views can be had over the estuary to the Famous 17c Fort
Ferragudo is one of those places that make tip writing very hard because there is not a great dealm of things to put, there are some bars and some retaraunts (see my tips) but this is really just a village on a hill and the only and best tip is, 'VISIT IT AND SPEND SOME TIME WALKING AROUND' if you can go in the places people have made tips for but if not just do what you want but please let us know about it because this is the Real Algarve not some Tourist Spot. |
