I Have been twice to France and I have to say that I'm really not bothered if i never set foot in the place again unless its a large city.
The Countryside is nice and there is some lovely architecture though, The food is good but thankfully you don't have to be in France to eat it unless you want meat still pumping blood when you have sent it back twice to cook it!!
If you need to speak to one of the locals (if they will actually stop to speak to you) try and speak to a schoolchild as they will be glad to practice their English and you will actually have more chance of finding out what you want to know.
- Pros:Nice Architecture, Countryside and Food
- Cons:In the Countryside many people will not speak to you
