Wonderful country, wonderful people. Last summer was a tragic time for the Lebanese. After years of relative peace, they had rebuilt their fortunes and looked to the future with real hope. Sadly 30 days of bombing changed everything. Bridges were destroyed and a people set back years, mistrust took over and peoples fortunes were dashed. But one thing will always remain true about the Lebanese. No matter how much agression they may suffer, how many bullying nations surround them, they will persevere and eventually prevail.
It is impossible to describe the beauty of this tiny country, it is timeless, it has a heart and soul that I have only ever experienced in one other place, Cuba. It is ancient and modern, past and future and it has sophistication in spade loads.
