I went to Dover on a daytrip in late May. The previous day in London had been gorgeous -- sunny, warm, perfect in every respect. But I learned yet another lesson about the unpredictability of UK weather. Just because it's sunny & 70 in London does not mean it will be the same less than 100 miles away. This is a view of the port where the ferries to mainland Europe dock and often all people see of Dover. There is more to do there, Dover was a good daytrip, but I wouldn't spend more time than that in the town. |
