"Municipality of Resen" Opstina Resen by Jannick-DK

Resen municipality is located in the southwestern part of Macedonia, in the Prespa valley, near the Prespa Lake. One of the most attractive places on this lake is the island Golem Grad, which is at the junction of three borders between Macedonia, Albania and Greece. On the north part of the lake, there is a protected ornithological reserve Ezerani with over 115 species of birds.

Prespa has a rich history, with numerous cultural-historical monuments, archeological sites, churches and monasteries.

When moving around in this area you will notice the many apple trees. Annually between 40 and 60,000 tons of the Prespa apple is produced. These apples are really good.
