Getting TO/AROUND: The best way not to get ripped off by a taxi is not to get in one that is parked in an obvious tourist area. Walk a bit further and flag one down. Check that they have their meter on and that it shows 35B. This was a tip from a British school teacher who lives here, works fine so far.

Getting TO/AROUND: We used the sky train a lot whilst we were in Bangkok. It's easy to use. Very clean and you will really appreciate the air con. Any good map will show the train stops. There is only one connecting station for the two lines (Siam)
