GENERAL LUNA-Almost like Home

I'm born in Surigao City and the nearest must-see place in the province is Siargao Island. From Surigao City, you take a fast craft going to Dapa, From Dapa you take a 30 min. trike or van ride to General Luna(GL). General Luna is where most resorts are situated in Siargao Island. More than Four years ago there were only a few nice resorts in GL and now, there a number of newly developed resorts...mostly foreign owned resorts.
GL is continuously a growing and developing area in Siargao..lots of foreigners have settled in the Island and you may ask why...well, here are the list of fun stuff to do in GL or coming from GL going to different spots in the island:

1. Island Hopping (from GL-> daku, naked island and guyam)
*white sand beaches
2. Surf! Surf! Surf!
*in GL or you can go to Daku Island for bigger waves
3. Eat... (very cheap food)
4. Island tour- visit Magpupungko -lagoon/ pool-like spot
5. Surfing in Burgos
6. Swim in Alegria Beach
7. Boat ride from GL/Dapa to Suhuton Caves ---definitely enchanting caves
and waters
and the list goes on and on and on............................

there are alot of unexplored places in Siargao, Some have been discovered..and nature's wealth in the island are definitely unspoilt.

Siargao is going to be the next hot spot in the country!! I love Siargao!=)

Magpupungko

Magpupungko is one of nature's wonders...A must see spot in Siargao---be sure you know how to swim before you take a dip at Magpupungko....its deep! =)
