Beautiful Cape Tribulation

Cape Tribulation is so beautiful.
This pic was taken looking north toward Cooktown.It is where the forest meets the reef.This is where Captain Cook came to grief on the reef when sailing on the ship Endeavour along the east coast of Australia.

I was amazed at how the hermit crabs make these wonderful nature art by burrowing in the sand....They look like aboriginal dot painting and I wonder if this is where they got their inspiration from!!!

Pros:Pristine beach and rainforest,no crowds.
Cons:Food and drink at local places are very very expensive.

ha ha dont sit too close to the waters edge with your lunch or you could end up being lunch!...lovely to see your pics and info here...would love to go back and trip around this area again
