Malls / Outlets: Glamor of Vegas!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Name of Shop: Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas

Fashion Show Mall is located at 3200 Las Vegas Boulevard South on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. With 1,888,151 ft² of space, this is one of the largest enclosed malls in the world. The mall has over 200 stores, 7 anchors, an elevated stage, a fashion runway, and the Cloud.Fashion shows occur in the Fashion Show Mall every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Cloud, at The Strip entrance is about 128 feet (39 m) above the sidewalk and is 480 feet (150 m) long. During the day, the structure provides shade for the entrance and at night it serves as a movie screen. The mall features several high end restaurants, some accessible from private entrances and elevators so they may operate when the mall is closed. For the winter holidays, the mall has scheduled snow storms inside.

The Fashion Show mall has expanded to nearly 2 million square feet, making it the largest shopping destination on the Strip, attracting more than 10 million visitors annually.

The mall is modern and bright, with wide aisles and plenty of seating to make shopping a relaxing experience. Saks, Macy's and Dillard's are roomy and inviting, and even when there's an overflow of shoppers, it's easy to make your way through. A giant, three-level Nordstrom and a Bloomingdale's Home are classy places to shop -- you won't be able to resist stopping in, even if your funds are running low (you can find beautiful items that are steals, however, such as picture frames, vases and the like). Neiman Marcus rounds out the beautifully-appointed department stores.

Along with the department stores, there are more than 200 boutique and chain shops. The expansion saw many of Fashion Show's best stores survive and added a number of cool shops, such as an Apple computer store, local clothing favorite Talulah G, a great variety of shoe stores and a wonderful Z Gallerie.

What To Buy: The Fashion Show mall also features the Great Hall, a multimillion dollar event area that features an 80-foot retractable runway -- making it possible to have fashion shows at Fashion Show. There are house fashion shows, several days a week. One of the mall's most unique features is a large multimedia cloud outside the Strip entrance, making it possible for passersby to see what's going on inside. The cloud will be lighted nightly and combined with four moving video screens known as the Media Curve to broadcast special events occuring inside.

Not only do some of the stores in this mall have really nice things to sell, but then there are stuff thats really nice and expensive things to buy just in case you win real big! but don't forget that altough this is a gambling town, YOU still need to pay Sales Tax! at 7.5% (Oregon has no sales tax!) With a modeling show in the center of mall to watch while you shop or just enjoy completely watching girls changing there clothes real fast its here! With a runway that comes up out of the ground like opera productions.

The Mall has eight major department stores, which include Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Dillard's, Robinsons-May, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. Additionally, there are a number of unique stores that are difficult to find in other locations. Cinnamon Girl is a Hawaiian-based company that sells girl’s and women’s floral print dresses. You can go high-tech at the Apple Store, where you can purchase a Macintosh computer, digital camcorder or other high-tech products. The store also features the entire family of iPod products.

    Mall Hours:
    Monday-Saturday: 10:00am-9:00pm; Sunday: 11:00am-7:00pm

What To Pay: A LOT! prices here are on the expensive side! if you want discounts then go to the factory outlets about 40 miles from Vegas.

Forum Caesars Palace: Price Fit for A Roman EMPEROR!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Name of Shop: Forum Caesars Palace

The Forum Shops at Caesars is Las Vegas' premier retail, dining and entertainment destination, featuring more than 160 boutiques and shops as well as 13 restaurants and specialty food shops. The Forum Shops have held on to their position as the most successful shopping venue in the country through continual progress. The Forum Shops and Appian Way house the world's best designers of men's and women's fashion, accessories, furnishings, dining and so much more. From Jimmy Choo and Kate Spade to Valentino and Louis Vuitton, you'll embark on a shopping experience like never before.

Built as an extension wing of the main casino at Caesars Palace, this was the first destination mall on The Strip, the mall now fronts on The Strip. This unique indoor shopping environment boasts a unique atmosphere that simulates ancient Roman streets including fountains, statues and facades. It features a ceiling painted as the sky that goes through a 24 hour day every hour. Realistic appearing stone statues in the fountains of the mall, come to life and perform several times throughout the day. Even the time of day or night is signified under enclosed, temperature-controlled skies that change throughout the day from the rose and mauve of dawn, to high noon and the fading gold of afternoon, followed by the golds and grays of twilight and the night's twinkling stars. Along the way, sculptures come to life at the Festival Fountain Plaza and the Fountain of the Gods

The most recent expansion added 175,000 square feet and additional levels that extend the mall out to Las Vegas Boulevard, where a grand pedestrian plaza creates a signature entrance for The Forum Shops at Caesars.

What To Buy: The cheap stuff at the Forum Shops? some like The Cheesecake Factory, heaping portions and quality food. If you are looking for a little more upscale try Spago where for the price you really get more than you pay for. The middle ground when it comes to eating cheap at the Forum Shops is Bertollini’s, a ton of bread, big portions of Pasta and some good pizza. Share some meals and you are saving money. Cheap shopping at the Forum Shops? It doesn’t exist; there are some hidden away bargain racks at Banana Republic and the Gap. Most of the toys are way too expensive at FAO and the specialty shops find it hard to offer any real bargains.

This titan of the shopping world offers some of the most expensive retail real estate in the world, which explains the pedigree of its tenants: Versace, Gucci, Bernini, Abercrombie & Fitch, Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Valentino and Galerie Lassen and a lot more. The High-end restaurants abound from Caviarteria to Wolfgang Puck's Spago. All this shopping excitement is costly; however, a trip to the Forum Shops is a Las Vegas must, if only to window-shop.

What To Pay: MAX out you Credit Card!
