Spectacular Views!

ok, ok I admit that I am Biased since this is my favorite hotel in the SOMA area and because of View Lounge which for me is better than the Top of the Mark. the Marriott is one of the largest buildings in the city, making it a popular stop for convention-goers and those looking for a room with a view (again I'm biased), that only problem is that rooms cost $ 380 or more a day here.

Unique Qualities: Beside my favorite View Lounge, Mariott claims to have 1,498 luxurious guest rooms, including 136 distinct suites and 100,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and banquet space, including 52 meeting rooms and the most unbeatable part is that it is just across Moscone Center for Convention Goers and within Walking Distance of Westfield Center, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Powell Street Cable Car, Union Square, Metreon, Crocker Galleria and a Lot More!

The Grand Dame of Union Square was built by the San Francisco Pioneers well before the 1906 earthquake and it survived it! this grand hotel had seen it all since then including the famous fatty arbuckle parties and incident in the 1920's. Upon entering this Majestic Hotel, marble columns, ornate balconies, and intricate woodwork transport guests back to the elegance of yesteryears and just outside the front door, you can see that cable cars pull to a convenient stop before gooing to the powell turnstile.
