Gullivers' Tavern: Nice place to meet friends and "ho's"
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Gullivers' Tavern

I heard that This was A Very Popular Night spot in Bangkok and I Have to Try It Myself since it is just 30 meters from my Hotel. People are very friendly and I met and made friends with some like aa Sri Lankan guy and a thai Girl. I also notice that this was a "pick up place" and there are tables with single or group of thai girls that if you make eye contact, thay will approach you and make some chit chat and offer you their "night service". Be careful since not all are girls, some are ladyboys!. Although this is a decent bar, there are lots of these types there.

The Beer is very expensive! 1 bottle of Singha Beer (Famous Local Brand) is 150 Baht (4.34 dollars), Guiness and Budweisser is 180 Baht (5.20 dollars). Appetizers include: Chicken Strips at 125 baht. Tod Mud Pla (a thai fish cake) is 95 baht, Shrimps Spring roll at 105 Baht.

Dress Code: You can wear anything there, it is a very informal place and is very lively. It reminds me of Friday's and even typical Single's Bar and Irish Pubs in the states.

Patpong: Where Shopping and Sleaze are side by side!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Bangkok Patpong
  • Market at Left, Sleaze at Right!
  • by machomikemd , 4 more photos

  • Nightlife Spot: Patpong

Patpong is an entertainment district in Bangkok, Thailand, catering mainly, though not exclusively, to foreign tourists (farangs) and expatriates. While Patpong is internationally known as a red light district at the heart of Bangkok's sex industry, the city in fact has numerous red-light districts like Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, Thonglor, etc. A busy night market aimed at tourists is also located in Patpong. Patpong consists of two parallel side streets running between Silom Road and Surawong Road and one side street running from the opposite side of Surawong. Patpong is within walking distance of the SkyTrain's Sala Daeng Station, and Bangkok Metro's Si Lom Station.

Patpong 1 is the main street with many bars of various kinds. Patpong 2 also has many similar bars. Next to these lies Soi Jaruwan, sometimes referred to as Patpong 3 but best known as Silom Soi 4 or Soi Kathoey (for gay men who loves ladyboys). Soi Thaniya has expensive bars with Thai hostesses that cater almost exclusively to Japanese men. Most Patpong go-go bars feature women dancing on a stage. The dancers (and even occasionally the serving staff) are generally available to customers willing to pay a bar fine to take them out of the bar; the fees for sexual services are negotiated separately. Some establishments advertising "massages" are in fact disguised brothels, and a few notorious "blowjob bars" offer oral sex in back rooms. Famous of which is LOLITA's BJ Bar which has a Branch near Nana Plaza.

Several upstairs bars still feature (technically illegal) sex shows, with women performing various creative acts. Perhaps the most notorious of these features women performing exotic feats involving their genitalia and projectile table tennis balls. Some of these second-floor bars are run by scam artists who lure tourists with offers of low prices and later present a wildly inflated bill along with a threat of physical harm should the bill go unpaid. The Tourist Police, usually stationed at Patpong 1 and Silom Road, can help in these situations.

Nana Plaza: Nana Plaza, Less Congested than Patpong!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Nana Plaza

Nana Plaza is one of Bangkok's hottest nightlife areas. The Nana Plaza is a popular and much visited Bangkok red-light district. The Nana Plaza is a Nana Plaza Girlssquare shaped building which can be entered through the entrance way near to Sukhumvit road. Nana Plaza has a variety of Bangkok beer bars and some amazing Thai Go-Go bars which are located over three different floors. The hot Bangkok bar girls that are working at one the Nana Plaza Go Go bars or regular beer bars are almost all available for some special one on one fun back at your hotel.

You should remember that its normal that if you decide to take one of the Nana Plaza girls back to your Bangkok hotel then you will have to pay a bar fine for her. The Thai bar fine is paid to the Nana Plaza bar or a-go-go club as a form of compensation. Nana Plaza is situated in Sukhumvit Soi 4 which is a side street of the busy Sukhumvit road Once you approach the Nana Plaza you will be able to see the large Nana Entertainment Plaza sign which hangs above the entrance to this great Bangkok nightlife paradise. As soon as you walk into the complex you will find yourself being talked to and even grabbed by scores of some spectacular Nana Plaza sexy girls.

he Bangkok Nana Plaza ground floor consists mostly of outdoor Nana Plaza bars which are great for a relaxing beer and some fresh air. This is especially for those of you that do not like the Nana Plaza Go Go bars filled with smoke.

The Nana Plaza go go bars do offer some of the most beautiful and sexy Nana Plaza girls performing all sorts of erotic dance performances. You can only imagine why the Nana Plaza Go Go bars have such names as Red Lips and even one called Lollipop. The thought of juicy red lips and lollipops and Thai sexy ladies can give almost any grown man a heart attack. It's jus a 3 Minute Walk from my hotel in Soi 5, amari bouevard hotel.

Dress Code: None, youd don't need a dress code for SLEAZE!

There are about 40 bars. Most are bars where girls dance on stage in bikini outfit. However, there are also a lot of outside beer bars where you can just sit and enjoy the scene. The Big Mango Bar is a place on the second floor (up right at the entrance) where you can also enjoy a decent hamburger.

At night, till about 1 A.M. when everything is closed down, the place is packed with people. For health conscious visitors, please be advised that music sound levels are quite high, and smoking is allowed in the bars, so expect a little coughing a day after your visit.

Visiting Nana Plaza is moderately expensive. Beer and other drinks are priced at 125 baht. The girls working there will 'hassle' you to buy drinks for them too, at about the same prices.
    Address: Sukhumvit Soi 4
Directions: from BTS Nana Station, go to Soi 4 and when you see Nana Hotel, it is just across it!

Suan Lum Night Bazaar: Glamorous Night Market in bangkok!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Suan Lum Night Bazaar

Suan Lum could best be described as the VIP outdoor market of Bangkok (where you're always welcome, of course). Covered walkways with centrally-located snack bars provide perhaps the most luxurious (outdoor) market shopping experience in the city. Several bars along with Thai, Italian, German, and even Mexican restaurants are conveniently within the market area, close enough to analyze the crowd while enjoying a drink, yet away from the market's hustle-and-bustle. In the same area, dinner shows featuring classical Thai puppetry can be enjoyed at the famous Joe Louis Puppet Theatre.

On the other side of the market's curious Khmer-looking temple walkway, lies a large outdoor beer garden, food court, and concert venue all rolled into one. Here one can indulge in an assortment of inernational and Thai beers and foods, with international fare either Japanese (yakitori and Asahi) or German (sausage, Paulaner, etc). Beer and food are accompanied by live Thai cover bands performing the latest local and international hits on stage. Also, don't forget to check out the Big Wheel, 'La Roue de Paris' while you're there! And, after a few drinks with friends, head out to one of Silom's many nightclubs.

Suan Lum has many of the same Thai trinkets and souvenirs you'll find in other of Bangkok's markets, but here under covered walkways and with a few bars, restaurants and a huge covered food court with live bands nightly. Well worth a wander. You can also enjoy live music or Thai comedies which are held in the entertainment hall of the Suan Lum night bazaar. The Bec Tero event hall can hold over 5000 visitors during the special shows and events and frequently is filled during these events.
