front of Petronas Towers Petronas Twin Towers Review

around the huge petronas towers compex in the front plaza and this is a favorite area for people who does not want to spend money to enter the sky bridge of the Observation Deck and also nice activities do have a panoramic photograph of the Petronas Tower Complex.

The Petronas Tower was formerly the World's Tallest Building was but beaten by the Taipei 101 and recently by the Burj Al Khalifa Tower in Dubai. they were designed by the Argentinean-American architect Cesar Pelli. Completed in 1997. The twin towers house Petronas, Malaysia's government-owned oil company, as well as associated Malaysian firms and multinational companies and around the complex is the Suria KLCC shopping mall and the KLCC Park (unfortunately I did not have time to stroll around both huhuhuhu). The towers are linked to one another through a skybridge on 41st and 42nd floors. The bridge has a height of 170m and a length of 58m. Visitors can visit the skybridge for free by getting the passes which are handed out everyday from 8:30am onwards except on Monday but for tourist like us, the option is to buy the tickets at the ticket counter for 10 RM each!!! again we did not know that there was an Observation deck at Tower 2 at the 82nd floor that only goes for RM 40 per person, too bad for us!

The towers are open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm daily

The Sky Bridge Petronas Twin Towers Review

inside the sky bridge. The Skybridge which connects tower one from tower two from the 41rst and 42nd floor is the main attraction of the Petronas Tower (but not the only attraction as they also have an observation deck at the 82cnd floor of tower two that only costs RM 40 per person). The skybridge is open to all visitors, but tickets are limited to 1700 people per day, and must be obtained for free on a first-come, first-served basis before 10 am (but they also have separate tickets for tourists like us that costs RM 10 given to us by the travel agency hehehe) Visitors are only allowed on the 41st floor as the 42nd floor can only be used by the tenants of the building.

Independence Square Merdeka Square Review

the Independence Square of Malaysia wherein in 1957 this is the place that marked the independence of Malaysia from colonial rule on 31 August 1957. It is here that the Union Jack was lowered and replaced with the flag of Malaysia. The Merdeka Square is beside the royal selangor club and the field where the square is located was appropriated from the Royal Selangor Club by the ferderal government of Malaysia. This Square continues to be a venue where many events are held. The National Day celebrations and New Year countdown are among the events that are held here. Beneath the square is Plaza Putra where you will be able to find food and entertainment. The Main Attraction here besides the large LCD screen is the 100 metres flag pole which is reputed to be the tallest in the world.

founded by the british Royal Selangor Club Review

just beside the Merdeka Square and facing the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. This club was formerly exclusive to the British Colonials that even pets like dogs or cats and even the local Malaysian are not allowed entry of become members of the club. The Royal Selangor club was founded in 1884 when the club was nicknamed "The Spotted Dog" as two Dalmatians belonging to the wife of one of the club founders were left to guard the entrance of the club whenever they visited the club. Over the years, the club's membership increased and had also begun to include high-ranking Malaysian civil servants: judges, lawyers and important people in society. At present, the club is exclusively used for members and has many sporting facilities such as swimming, billiard, chess, darts, reading room etc. Food and beverages outlets that serve Japanese, Chinese and local cuisines are among the other facilities here.

the famous palce guards Royal Palace (Istana Negara) Review

pose at the famous Istana Palace Guards. Inside the palace are a variety of plants and flowers, swimming pool and indoor badminton hall. As the palace grounds are not opened to members of the public or tourists, the Main Palace Entrance is a favourite picture spot for tourists because of the Archs of the Gates that resembles a mini Bukingham Palace gates. Again, in the front of the Istana Negara, the main entrance resembles an arch and On each side of the arch, are two guard posts to shelter two members of the cavalry in their full dress uniform similar to the ones at Buckingham Palace, London. This Palace is always on the stop of all Kuala Lumpur City Tours.

Yang Di Pertuan Agong Royal Palace (Istana Negara) Review

the Federation of Malaya, at the time of independence in 1957, had 9 royal families. And to be equitable, it was decided that they each take turns to be the paramount ruler of the Federation for a period of 5 years. The present ruler, known as The Agung, is the 13th Agung of the country and hails from the state of Trengganu, in the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia. The Present Malaysian King full name and title is: Duli Yang Maha Mulia Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah. Better known as Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. Tuanku is the title for King. The Royal Palace of Malaysia Initially Started as a big mansion of a Local Wealthy Malaysian-Chinese named Chan Wing who fled to Australia during the Malayan Invasion by the Japanese in World War II. It was then bought by the Sultan of Selangor State and made into a palace and was eventually bought by the Federal Government in 1957 who remodeled it and assigned it to become the Royal Palace of the Malaysian King (the malaysian king is called Yang Di Pertuan Agung and is the only royalty to be elected into office by a term of 5 years from the 9 sultans of Malaysia).
