Munnar is a lovely hill station in the southern Indian state of Kerala.It is about three hours drive from Cochin.The scenery is breathtaking .During the monsoon many small and big waterfalls come alive.There is a lovely 'Tea Museum' in the city showcasing the production and manufacture of tea over the ages.
The entire town is a lush green carpet of tea gardens.Some of the finest tea in the world is grown here.

Lovely pictures...someday maybe I'll get to India.
I've seen tea plantations in Sri Lanka and Australia. They just look beautiful.
This seems a well worth place to visit - In a tea lover too! - and the hotel sounds very cheap in yr hotel tip.

Nice view over the tea plantations - hm, I can smell the fresh tea ;-) Havent been to the South of India yet, but reading your pages gives me good reasons to go there!
