first visit to scotland, brill. stayed with my cousin in inverness so it saved on accommodation which was great. took my 3 kids too, as it was half term. we hired a people carrier so we were out early each morning ,and for 4 days we travelled all the highlands. |
weather perfect for sightseeing although it was only april the weather was surprisingly mild and almost warm.we went on loch ness, picnicked at urquarth castle(where braveheart was filmed) went to clava cairns, dunrobin castle, achiltibuie strand, stratfeffer, and ullapool on the west coast... |
wonderful place,lovely people. after all that sightseeing we didnt do much shopping(lots of souvenirs,not much clothes shopping) on the day we did hit the inverness high street there was all the usual high street stores., but we were too tired after trekking all over the highlands on the previous 3 days!!! |
