The names Ledger, Kay Ledger...

by Kaysta - last update: Oct 14, 2009

**Please to meet you! How do you do?!**

Nice hat!
Thank you for stopping by my page and i do hope you enjoy my tips and pictures!

I guess you will want to know a little about me. My name is Kay, i was born on the 1st of August 1986 in a city called Leeds, England. I still live here to this day and it is home. I love the vibrance of the city, the mixture of old and new. It is an exciting city that has plenty to offer.

The reason why i signed up to this site were to gather information on my first trip abroad in October 2006, to Egypt. It was a long time coming! I have always to go to Egypt to see the famous historic sites. I'm not quite sure what triggured it, but i remember being so interested in our history classes when the subject were about the Egyptians.

That trip was lethal, i am now hooked to travelling and i wish i would of gone sooner, but as they say; 'You don't know what your missing until you have been'. It certainly was a case of that. If i had no commitments and the money to do it, i would travel the world and be the most happiest person doing it.

In particular i like places with historic interest, so Rome and Athens is definately on the list of places to visit.

I'm on here to share my views with others, to people who haven't been before but are thinking of going, the same as i were those years ago.

I wish you safest and happiest travels!

Kay xXx
In Egypt, my lovely Grandad on the far right

**In Loving Memory of My Grandad - John Ledger**

Sadly, on the 24th of July 2008 my Grandad passed away in this world to reunite with his soul mate, My Nana, Edith Ledger.

It was one of the saddest days in my life. I lived with my Grandad, and he brought me up since being a child. We have experienced so much together, from day trips, holidays and even two weeks in Egypt. To the times that may of seemed small, but were precious to me. He has taught me a lot, most of all to be a respectful and good person, like himself.

Memories of us watching tv at night, only the ones interested in documentaries and we'd talk for hours about the information that were being told in the series. We mostly watched history and wildlife. In particular, the history of Ancient Egypt.

I have many memories of him, but one that seems to stick out most is recently when we were debating about Egypt. How much i enjoyed my time there in 2006 and that he didnt have such a good experience when he were there with the British Army. Thankfully, i got to prove him wrong when we went to Egypt as a family in September 2007. What matters most, is that he had a wonderful time and it was his first 'official' holiday abroad. He was always fun and wanting to explore - most probably where i get it from!

He not only made my holiday, but i simply wouldn't be the person i am today without him. I just wish i could of spent more than 22 years of my life with him.

I love you Grandad, forever and always! x

**Roundhay Park**

This is me on a tree in Roundhay Park, Leeds. It is a very big park, consists of a large lake (with boats), childrens play area, tennis courts, large fields, ruins etc. The list can go on. I have plenty of childhood memories here, i used to play here on my bike and go around the entire lake with my childhood dog following me and often cutting me up, which made me fall often than not. Ok, so maybe not all good memories!

It is a lovely park for the family, to walk the dog or for the fitness freaks who enjoy a jog!

Meet cheeky Bentley boo!

**My little man - Bentley**

I want to introduce you to the little apple of my eye. My toy poodle male, Bentley. He is gorgeous is such a great companion. He is always there for cuddle and play when he has his happy hour! So for this, i dedicate this moment of fame for Bentley!
