"Yosemite's Lesser Known Cousin" Kings Canyon National Park by giampiero6
Kings Canyon National Park Travel Guide: 127 reviews and 251 photos
King's Canyon is a fairly large mountain and forest park that lies adjacent to its better know neighbor, Sequoia Park. There's a lot of great hiking here including long several day camping loops that take you up to high terrain and swing you around awesome lakes and pristine streams!
Paradise Valley is an amazing place to camp high above the valley floor. A beautiful clear cold mountain stream winds through a pine forest and sandy banks. It's a bit of a hike up here and not too many people make it through.
- Pros:Not as well know as Sequoia and Yosemite
- In a nutshell:Paradise

I have not been to Kings Canyon in over 30 years. It's about time to go back and enjoy nature. It was very beautiful there.
Kings Canyon is one of my favorite places to hike.
Very nice pictures? Good inspiration for my future travels. Greetings from Denmark.
Thats wow stunning - not the arm with a bump but that stunning mountain in your main shot - plural - what a beautiful national park to show us thanks! i really must get off to the US again and all those beaut locations!
Backpacked all over the Sierras in my youth. Fun to see it again. Thanks!
It is a lovely area, have not been there in years. We stayed at Grant Grove in these little lean-to shacks, no lights no phone no motor car....primitive. They are all gone now converted to actual rooms. :-( oh well Kat
Bears, I think I'll stick with the sharks! Nice pages, very tempting.
Gravity feed pumps...I've not seen them in years..many years.
Your quite the camper. Lovely photos and some great tips for all to remember when camping in the wilderness. Thanks!!
