Verona is a nice little city on the Adige River in the Veneto area. It's about an 1:45 minute drive from our place in the Alps, so I go their once in a while for a little day trip and just to get away. The main attractions are the Arena in Piazza Bra...a Roman era amphitheater that is still used for concerts and lyric opera, the Castelvecchio, and the main shopping street, via Mazzini. |
