Technically we're on the coast here, some 20+ kms east of Málaga. But we're in an old stone house in the middle of the old Spanish village, surrounded by Spaniards whose families have lived here for donkeys' years - usually with their donkeys, and their goats, chickens ..... But I'm not saying where it is....

OK, here is Torre which is a bit more touristy. Easy to get to and round. Buses run up and down the coast to Málaga one way, or Nerja the other. The bus station is central, there are two camp sites centrally located, and now Torre is connected to the local county town of Velez with the first tram in Andalucía. Out of season it is quiet, probably a place for oldies or those who don't like a rip-roaring social life every night. In season it is full of Spaniards who descend for the annual month or two for a vacation in their second home, ie a seafront flat. Prices go up, renting is sky-high, and parking is terrible. It's busy at night though if that's what you like.

There's not much at Caleta apart from boats, but it's always nice to just wander round here
