Things i discovered during May 2006
- itz 10, 20 or 30 baht for single trip rides on BTS
- theres cutie walkin green man in BKK too! the taipei green walkin man
- u pay minimum of 50 baht to get joss sticks.candles.flowers for praying at erawan shrine (4faceBuddha)
- itz really walkable from Asia Hotel to MBK-Siam-ChitLom shopping district
- DJ station is next to Burger King, along Sala Daeng BTS
- Mango Tree is very near to Tawan
- Coco Walk is juz on the other side of the Rachathewi BTS.
- MBK is like some old malaysian shopping mall, yes it is old
- siam discovery ctr is so hip! playground! is so small.
- taxi is cheaper than tuktuk, starting from 35baht
- u haf to pay 500 baht when checking into the departure lounge, thats airport tax
- a new airport gonna replace Don Muang airport soon, dunno when...
- asia hotel is rumoured to be haunted hotel, i din c any ghost though
- there's a drinking water cooler next to basin (Asia Hotel)
- Siam Ocean World is cool. 500 baht for entry and boat ride
- Baiyoke sky hotel is realli cool!
- sunday nite is pink for Bed supper club, get their matchstick boxes, white tip
- Tipping motivates the service workers to give u satisfaction
- Bargaining is an art, u haf to bargain! onli at mkts.
- Foodcourts operates by card value or coupon system. i prefer the prepaid card method, like wat siam discovery ctr is doing. mbk uses coupons, end of day, staff haf to count them, waste time. kinda like marche style!
- missed the sharkfin and birdnest at MBK, how come it closed so early?? we were there at 9pm. was it becos of vesak day?
- pubs and clubs r closed on vesak day. no selling of alcoholic drinks on tis day. most clubs open til 2am onli
- should get the 120-160 bucks airtix for BKK in future! i paid 200 tis time. maybe due to vesak day, that was y.
- bring a big tough bag when going to chatuchak mkt! wear shorts or berms. u'd haf to go back to hotel afterwards to shower then resume wif watever activities u haf, be it shoppping, massage, club...
- not all atms can access to ur credit/debit cards for money withdrawal, lookout for cirrus or maestro signs. try to swipe card, more worth it.

thats abt all... when will i be in bkk again? hmmm...
