From a very young age I loved traveling - or maybe not exactly traveling per se but just being somewhere different - experiencing a new environment. When I was four years old I had to get an operation, which involved spending four consecutive days in the hospital. One would think a four year old would be miserable being away from home without mommy and daddy for so long. But no, when it was time to go home, I cried and basically went ape ***. I didn't want to leave! I don't know what to make of that. It's not that I hated home or anything. I think I really just liked the feeling of being somewhere new...it was exciting.
