Casablanca
Casablanca is the first port of call to Morocco for many travellers including myself. I first came here back in 2004 and last visited back in 2008 and still I enjoy walking around this city. My first visit was wet & cold and the city looked gloomy but my last trip here was sunny and gave a whole different feel to the place. It looks like the goverment is investing in the future of Casablanca as there is a major construction project going on around the marina area making way for more cruiseships to bring in the tourist.
I once again had to go and have a look around the Hassan II mosque a very grand piece of Architecture that stands out from the rest of Casablanca as the city is very cosomopolitan like other European cities. There are tours inside the Grand Mosque but only at certain times of the day but it is worth doing because inside is even more amazing than outside.
The medina is a good place to go shopping but haggle to get a good deal beacuse the Moroccans like a challenge and you will enjoy it aswell. In central Casablanca you will find some top quality shops like back in Europe plus all the American fast food resturants but I would suggest you give them all a miss and eat the local food which is far more better.
I have nothing bad to write about Casablanca it is a nice city to visit if you arrive here for the first time and getting to know the Moroccan culture. There are plenty of cheap hotels in Casablanca to suit everybody and there are just around the corner from the CTM Bus Station.

Great photos from Agadir to Marrakesh to Casablanca. Most favorite is in this page, the "Shoe Repair Man" - no any subject will be better than local food or the locals themselves. Cheers - jayjayc
