"Munich February 2007" a Munich Travel Page by richyoon

I arrived in Munich for a business trip, so I didn't get to pick the timing of my visit. The weather was a little dreary... rained pretty much my entire stay, and it was relatively cold (around 30 F). My host commented that this might be the worst weather to come to Munich. The summers are supposed to be amazing in Munich, and the winters (although colder) is beautiful with all the snow.

However, I still found the city to very charming. The architecture is truly amazing, and the city is sparkling clean. To be honest Munich was never high on my list of places to visit. I'm usually looking for cities with a happening nightlife, and Munich as far as I could tell is not that city. I did stop by the world famous Hofbrahouse in the center of the city. Its very touristy, but I think everyone has to stop by for at least one beer while in Munich. I hear the summers are better to visit when everyone hangs around the English Garden and beer gardens are open throughout the city.

Being on a business trip, I honestly can't say I got to know Munich. But at least I happen to stay near the city center, and it allowed for easy walking around the area. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and great photo opportunities. Munich was definitely a city worth exploring.

Although I arrived to Munich again on business, this time I was here for a one week conference. I had much more time to explore and enjoy this beautiful city. The summers in Munich are amazing. Although it was still rainy at times, the temperature was always comfortable. Lots of tourists during this time. I had the opportunity to meet with various travelers from around the world here, people who I hope to keep in touch with for the rest of my life. I really had the time of my life, and my time in Munich will always be one of my great life memories.
