Saint in Terre Haute

One of the nice places to go to is in Saint Mary of the Woods College which is run by Providence sisters. Saint Theodore Guerin who was canonized in 2006 is one of the forerunners of this place. You will see here her exposed 3 finger bones and they have a small museum where you will see her things like her desk, her footwear etc. They have also the small chapel that Saint Guerin built and a grotto. They take care of Alpacas which is nice to look at as well. You can have Sunday brunch here after mass and they do serve really good food.

Deming Park

If its a beautiful sunshiny day, its nice to spend the afternoon in Deming Park. You can go jogging, take the kids to the big playground, go fishing, pack a picnic basket and just enjoy nature. There is also a big pool with a twisting slide which is fun for both adults and kids alike. The playground has 2 areas, one for the little ones and one for the older children and for the adults who are child at heart. If you find a quiet spot, it would be nice to do some yoga or meditation here too!
