Ilocos sur is located in northern Luzon and it's capital city is Vigan. It is composed of 32 municipalities.

The Heritage town of Vigan which is included in UNESCO world heritage list has the most preserved and intact Spanish ancestral houses in the whole of Asia. The place is very rich in history as you can visit the house of Father Jose Burgos and the former residence of President Elpidio Quirino.
