Quick Facts

Me and my bf strolling around Boston
The largest city in New England, a city of diverse neighborhoods, known for its cultural and intellectual influence and some calls it the most European city in the U.S.

Boston is NOT cheap. Sales tax is assessed except for shoes & clothing items. Hotel accomodation may hurt your pockets, so try to find hostels or private accomodation... or if you're bold enough, find a Bostonian friend that may allow you to stay in his/her house for FREE.

When you think of Boston, think of...

... top schools in the area like Harvard University
... or MIT
... or BU, or Northeastern University
... Gilette
... American Revolution
... an economy based on biotech, research and finance!
... the best Clam chowder and steamed oysters
... Red sox
... Good Will Hunting (yes the movie)
... Aerosmith
... Cheers (yes the sitcom..theme song goes like this "sometimes u wanna go where everybody knows your name...")
... professional-hardworking people running around the city in their business suit & sneakers (no it's not a fashion issue... dressed shoes are generally kept in the office or probably in their purse/bag).

and the list goes on and on and on.
Here we come!

Walkable city

Plan a day with friends just to stroll, eat and shop (even window shopping is good). The air is clean (for a city yes), and you will always find something that may interest or entertain you.

The city is best explored by foot! So wear the right shoes and enjoy.

Tired of walking???

Plenty of benches, ledges, name it... sit down, relax with friends. Get someone to make you a stupid balloon hat. It's cool to simply just plan a day to watch people walk by.... and to take goofy photos of yourself.
My good friend for 7 years now...also a VT mbr!

Enjoyed your pics of Fanuil Hall area. A favorite spot when I visit the city... doesn't everyone love that part of town?
