One of the sacrificial temples in the area where emperors come to pray for good harvests years and years ago. Every little detail incorporates numerology (that perhaps only MIT students can dig).

The Summer Palace

The Summer Palace on winter time, makes sense yes?

Visited the area on our 6th day in Beijing. I have to be honest... I was all "templed out" by the time we dropped in. The place is supposed to be prettier during spring/summer season.

Fun commentary on the wall. I went up last year and it was taxing. That ice-cold late December breeze takes the edge off, though!
