No place like Barcelona

by Nenocovic - last update: Mar 20, 2007

Barcelona, my love at first sight

Palau Nacional - Placa Espana - Barcelona,2005.
Everyone should visit Barcelona. Once you come to this city you definitly decide that you must come back. It is crowded and busy but yet peaceful and calm. People are kind and interesting. Streets are always full of people, cars and motorcycles, but you can always find quiet place to rest and enjoy. So many places to visit, sights to see, great architecture and beautiful parks. It is not so expensive. You can enjoy your stay and feel good with not so much money in your pockets. Night life is very good, but there are so many things to do during the day that will give you enough pleasure even if you are not night bird and decide to go to sleep early. You must go there even if that is the last thing you do in your life.
Temple La Sagrada Familia - Barcelona, 2006.

Antonio Gaudi gave personal touch to Barcelona

Gaudi was definitely one of a kind - unique architect with vision. Whole city has this charm thanks to him. First of all you must visit catedral Sagrada Familia because it is literally Bible made in stone. He found his inspiration in nature thanks to the fact that he was very sick while he was a child and could not play with other children. Instead of playing at home doctors told his parents that he should spend as much time is possible walking in woods and breathing clean air. He was inspired with constant growth and constant changes in nature so all of his work is so called - organic architecture. It is visible in all his buildings. Besides that he uses lots of diferent colors thanks to Arabian influence on whole peninsula. His signature is visible on every corner of city Barcelona. Gaudi's work you must see: Temple La Sagrada Familia, Guell Park, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila - so called La Pedrera....

Great view from the top of Sagrada Familia

If you have enough time, try to enter inside of Sagrada Familia and prepare yourself for great view from the top of one of these high towers. Here is one beautiful sight for you to enjoy....
