We spent 3 nights in Amsterdam. I dont think you can describe amsterdam in words, its one of those places that has to be experienced. Its a city of contradictions . Such a laid back city, one sees the s canals, the beautiful homes and all the old style bikes and you feel like you have gone back in time, but then you turn a round and see all the neon lights, the signs of sex and rugs everywhere you look, its just so wierd how it all fits together but it does. And then there is the red lights and the neverending rows of glass windows!! It needs to be seen to be believed

And then there was the Bikes. Ivebeen a huge Fan of Bikes, and 3 days in amsterdam has left me scarred a serious fear of anything with two wheels! Ive never in my life seen so many bikes and such chaotic streetswith bikes, people and trams vying for space!!Its a wionder no one honks much

The city seems to thrive on its mix and, despite hordes of tourists, still manages to feel quintessentially Dutch. The old crooked houses, the cobbled streets, the tree-lined canals and the generous parks all contribute to the atmosphere
