Our Stop over enroute to london Choosing Korean Airlines was one of the best decisions we made to travel to london for the first leg of our European trip.It gave us a chance to stop over and stay fro 2 days in a wonderful and very freindly city of seoul. From modern skyscrapers and neon lights to Buddhist temples, palaces and pagodas, Seoul is a fascinating mix of old and new. A hub of business, culture and finance both within South Korea and internationally, Seoul houses the headquarters for some of the world's largest corporations. It also has one of the world's best subway systems - the easiest way to get around in this densely populated area. For the best view of Seoul, head to the tower on Namsan, one of the mountains encircling the city. |
| | Seoul may be one of the most underrated cities in Asia. The city is very modern, with a highly developed transportation system and international cuisine and shopping. Seoul has also done a good job preserving it's culture heritage, with several of the old city gates and places well preserved and blending in nicely with the surrounding city. There is a well developed nightlife as well, although Seoul is beginning to struggle with a 'national alchoholism' that has it's root in mandatory social drinking related to business. |
