"MYSTERIOUS AND SECRETS OF THE WORLD" VikingHarald's Profile

FINLAND

I am Finnish and I´ll live in Finland. Our country is somewhere "over last sea near no-where".
This means that we are in the North and we are part of Scandinavia and our neighbour's are; Russia (boarder 1200 kilometers) , Norway,Sweden and over sea Estonia.

Finnish people

Finnish people are strange. There are many reason for this. We are so new country with urban civilisation since 1900 we have "jumped down from trees and came among people."
Strange
We don't speak, smile, and kiss normally. When we are drunk we do all of these and some more "strange" things.
If we speak and we come friendly with You and closer relationship, You can be sure that You`ll get whole life long loyal and faithful friend from Finn. Depends about You.
Nowadays our develop to international affairs has started; We have Nokia and some formula 1 drivers. Regards to Italy and France.(2007 )
Now the year 2008 Heikki Kovalainen has moved to MacLaren-Mercedes so regards to England and Germany.

Strange Finn in Japan

RAIKKONEN WON YEAR 2007 FORMULA I RACE
Congratulations to Kimi RAIKKONEN you won the Formula I this year 2007 Championship, when nobody any more belevied that you coul do it.
You are good example from "strange" Finn and from cold will (sisu) what the Finns have drinked with their mothers milk as they have born.

IMPORTANT IN FINLAND

I´ll tell You shortly some important Finns invitations and what they mean:

COFFEE
Finns can invite you coffee. This means home served coffee(filtered) and lot of different kind of pastry's (at least 7 different). You ll drink together coffee and talk perhaps? and that´s all.
COFFEE & COGNAC
Really famous slogan to invite for Finnish Coffee is also: "Lets have coffee and cognac". This means that if you don't have original French cognac, Brandy.... what ever alcohol works as well. If this invite is in home.. manner include that not only one cup of coffee and one glass of cognac is enjoyed, but the hole bottle is drink, if needed.

SMUGGLERS COFFEE ( In Archipelago area, old recipe)
Take normal Finnish Coffee cup ( at least 2 decilitre) and put small copper coins in bottom. Add fresh fresh mixed coffee,(different than filtered) as much to cup that you can´t see any more coin. Take moonshine strong alcohol fore example Estonian Vodka and add as much that you are able to see coin again.
Drink warm cup or two and cold is out of you.

Sauna

HOW YOU´LL COME TO VIP PERSON IN FINLAND
Invitation to home Sauna means that you are "something". All Finns have sauna or more. Sauna is "holy" places for Finns.Finnish army don't move without Saunas. First army moves their Saunas and after that troops follow. There( in Sauna) you´ll clean up Your body , mind and soul. With drinks and meals after and during Sauna time. All decision's can be made in sauna. After Sauna and relaxing time You can be "one of us" and long life friendship can start. Before sauna invitation could be vise for You to check in some practical book, what Saunas original "Finnish meaning" is.
Anyway after sauna session You are VIP- person in Finland.

Russians and Turks (Hamam) use also Sauna, but they are different than Finnish ones. Anyway these countries people can speak more familiar with Saunas.

FINLAND
In summertime the nights are not dark. This means that in Northern part of Finland (Lapland= the place where real Finnish Santa-clause lives), there isn't at all dark. Middle of summer in Lapland of Finland the sun doesn´t go down at all.
In archipelago area is also much more lighter than in Autumn and in Winter.
Then people here enjoys their lives and moves almost "all around", because in winter when is dark and wild Brown bear will sleeps, seems that people will do with same way.
From dark seasons and silence explain some of our characters so that Scandinavian people especially Finns used to be little melancholic individuals, but I´ll describe this way; "that silence has also meaning".

In Finland we can understand much more the slogan:" Four season and four reason."

Summer

June, July and August are perhaps "best seasons" to visit in Finland. Of course if you like about snow then winter season.
Summer months as above temperature all over in day time is between
+ 17- 28 Celsius.
July is common holiday month, so the most offices and business are closed.
Seems to bee like all "Finland should be closed".
The average temperature to swim in sea areas are between +17- 23 Celsius.

MANUAL to my travel pages:

My slogan in use is:
Nothing is so important than gardening - but on the other hand gardening is not so important at all.

"Normal" Finnish man don't read manual until something is broken or things don´t go on. This after he might have a rapid glance to manual.

SOME EXEPTIONS TO THE MAIN ROLE
# If you buy new car and this is different mark than the old one
# new camera (new digitals no old ones and pocket )
# you´ll create more years for yourself... so you´ll come older

Knowledge of language:

"Among blind people, he or she who have one eye is King or Queen."
This means; if your can speak for example native English in international work mission you´re .....

What you let back, you ll find front of you.

Pick "best things" from other cultures and enjoy them, "I am not guiding or teaching you when I am traveling".

Ling Jutang: Friends which meet beside dining table, meets with peace.

Peace among people in the world will be the final aim and this will get my deepest respect.

"KOPIASTE"
Kopiaste is Greek and meaning: (the old meaning);

"Kopiaste", which is the second personal plural of this werb has come to mean: " Take the trouble to come; sit down and share my meal; come and sit and let us talk".
"Kopiaste" to a friend or stranger who might be passing while he spreads his frugal meal of bread, haloumi, olives and tomatoes on his checked napkin beside him, and it means, "Come and share my food". Then you will either answer " Kalin orexi" -good appetite- and go away, or say "Efaharisto"-thank you- and sit with him to share his meal.
