"Colombia" Bogotá by drumachn

What can I say about Bogota? It's a splendid urban landscape with lots to do. Young crowds at many Juan Valdez locations, malls, and nightclubs. The food can be great. I stayed with my aunt and uncle and their two 20+ old sons; had a great time partying. Try the empanadas where ever you can. Go to El Cerro de Monserrate where the large moths live. There is a small market up top where you can have comida typica de Colombia. There are two very nice restaurants with a view of Bogota and great food, I had bandeja paisa. Travel on the transmilenio rail system. Go to 'exito' if you need anything from adult diapers to nail clippers, to microwavable burritos, they have everything! Don't leave without checking out the restaurant near Chia called Andres Carne de Res.
