It's the place to visit if you're up for some plays. It's the biggest and the best play house in the city. You can check out their website for information on current events / performances. The formal name is The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre and it is more commonly known as KLPAC.

Being the 7th tallest tower in the world at a standing height of 421m makes a Malaysian like me proud of my country. It's located on a hilltop called Bukit Nenas. Apparently, you can see Port Klang from the observation deck, which is very amazing because Port Klang is located far west of the city. The last time I went to the tower was when I had to take some foreign friends, which was in 1999. That's a very long time to know about any updates but I'm very proud with what our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir has done for his countrymen.

A cinema in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, inside the Suria KLCC. The best way to watch a movie is early in the morning or make a booking through the internet or phone cos the queue is massive almost all the time. It was open in 1998 and can accomodate up to 2400 people.

Another cinema company in Malaysia. This one is huge and it's popular with its couple seats. It's pretty empty here in Berjaya Times Square so it's nice to watch any films here.

If you're a tourist and can't afford the time to visit a big museum, then I'd suggest you to visit this little one with much info of the country you're visiting - Malaysia. It was open sometime in 1996 and is close to Merdeka Square where the talllest flag pole is. In there, you will get to see the table where the Treaty of Pangkor was signed in 1874. The architecture of this building is somewhat Moorish influenced. Admission is free.

Things To Do: Aquaria KLCC

I've been wanting to go to the newly built Aquaria for quite some time but never got the chance to make it. Being a local is always a disadvantage and it so happens that foreigners would be telling us locals of how great and magnificent these types of places are and yet, we still haven't been there. It's a shame really. However, I'm proud to say that I completely agree with my friends from abroad who has visited the Aquaria. It's as close as you can get to a shark, giant octopus and huge stingrays - the kind of fish that smacked Steve Irwin. Plus, it's in the city centre and in the shopping mall itself. Well, not exactly cos you would have to walk through the basement parking to get to the other side of the park cos I believe that it's located in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCCC). The price for the tickets are reasonable. For Malaysians with valid Malaysian MyKad, you only need to pay RM28 and it's RM38 for others.

I always believe to make a point to visit the National Museum of the country I'm visiting. One would of course unable to store in all the historical details but would inevitably have a general knowledge of how the particular country was formed or what she has been through. The Malaysian National Museum is located at Jalan Damansara. There are a few routes where one can take. The site itself used to be the Selangor Museum, which is one of the fourteen states in the Federation of Malaysia. Construction of the Museum started in 1961 after a few terrible incidents during World War I and World War II and completed in 1965 - the same year it was opened to public. The Museum consists of local history, culture, traditions, arts & crafts, local flora and fauna as well as defence systems. It's a good place to start off to learn about the country.

This is a definite must for visitors to Kuala Lumpur. The least you would do is to take pictures of the twin towers. The next thing to do is to queue up for the free tickets to go up to to the sky-bridge that connects the two towers. The scenery from above is simply amazing and the result of the pictures taken will look like a postcard (depending on how good your camera is, of course.) Walking around the park is another must-do in your list. The beautiful landscape is perfect for a short break during day time for sandwiches or light salad. However, the guards can be rather annoying at times as he would tell people not to step on the grass (What's the point of a park then??) Besides, that, it's wonderful.
