Getting TO/AROUND: One convient way of travelling in Bangkok is using Khao Phaya speed boat sevice. If you stay near river is nice to travel upstream (maybe to Wat Po or Grand Palace). Look a name of pier and tell that to when paying a very small fee. Be carefull when embarking and disembarking as a boat will not be tied on.

Getting TO/AROUND: I think the best way coming to town is by airplane. There are several airline companies which fly to Bangkok. A very short distanceis better make by walking. Even little longer journeys are better do by taxi. There are plenty of busses (an air-conditioned and not) but is not easy to figure out where bus is going. In my opinion traffic situation has been improved during a couple of years. There has been made large scale traffic improvements.

Getting TO/AROUND: It is a pity that skytrain network is not very long. A ticket machines accept only 10 and 20 bath coins, if you plan to use skytrain a lot, the most convient is to buy a tourist ticket (1- or 3-day ticket).

'Mode': TO
Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: Air-conditioned airport bus service operates between Bangkok International Airport (BIA) and downtown for four main routes. Fare is only 100 Bath per person throughout one single journey. You will find an airport bus counter just outside arrival hall. Staff are in there very friendly and they will show a right bus to you and tell a driver your destination.
