Amicalola Falls State Park

What a lovely place. Peaceful and relaxing. Stay at the lodge. Its a bargain. The falls can be quite a hike but are worth it. Take a side trip to Dahlonega while you are there; it is an old gold mining town. Very quaint. Lovely shops and music on the square.

What a hike!

We hiked from the lodge down to the falls and then back up again. Its about 1-1/2 miles but the grade is steep! It is definitely worth the walk but be in shape!!!! I had to stop several times.
