I had been thinking about it for a while but it was while being in Cambodia last year when I decided that this summer would be dedicated to the others, the less fortunate people and who more help need. I’m sure I’ll never be able to forget the dark deep eyes of the Cambodian children selling headscarves and postcards in Anglor Wat. |
| | Happy people Asia or Africa, I didn't really care and I finally went to Kenya. Back at home again, I only can said how great the experience was. Hard and shocking many times but always enriching. My life won't probably be changed but it has given me a new outlook of the things. If only it allows me to really appreciate how much I have and how privileged I am, it is worth.
There I had the opportunity of meeting not only the game reserves and the coast but also the barefoot children from the tea plantations of Gatina and Maramba -two small villages located near Limuru-, their houses, their worn clothes, their smiles... (because despite of having nothing, they always smile...) Kenya is definitively not only safari and coast. |
Lamu Lamu is beautiful and unique. It remains as centuries ago. Dhows and donkeys are the only means of transports in a island with no car. Friendly people and desert sandy beaches, what else do you need? | | |
