Riga was another one of my cheap weekend's away, courtesy of Ryanair. Ever since seeing that Ryanair flies here I have always wanted to go, so when the right deal came along i jumped at it ;)

Having said that my first day here was a bit of a nightmare with the weather. Despite it being April the temperature had dropped very low, it was snowing and very windy. This reduced my sightseeing for the first day, although I more than made up for it on the second day.

The hostel that I stayed in Riga was really great. It had a real party atmosphere and made for two very good nights of visiting Riga's clubs.

Although I had expected much from my trip, I was not at all disapointed. The architecture was great, walking was the most convenient method of transport and the people friendly.
