Hotel Altstadt Zum Hechten: Extremely considerate hosts....

I loved this hotel even before I got past the reception desk, because the lady on duty, took one look at little old me and my largish suitcase and said, "Just one moment, I'll change your room to one on the ground floor, we don't have a lift and I have allocated you a room on the third floor." That thoughtfulness set the scene for my stay which sadly, was far too short.

Unique Qualities: My room was like a little studio with an entrance area leading into the bedroom one way and the bathroom the other way. It was fresh and clean and extremely comfortable. The location in the middle of the main shopping street was superb. There was a very extensive buffet breakfast included in the room rate which, for me at that time was 59 euro. There is also an excellent restaurant, see my tip. Highly recommended.

Comparison: less expensive than average
