"An hour or two in Goettingen" Göttingen by Maryimelda

I have told the story on my Erfurt page as to how I got to spend two hours in Goettingen. To sum up, I ended up in this city with two hours to spare due to a glitch in the rail system (unbelievable in Germany, but there you are) enroute to Erfurt. Whilst it was quite an interesting little city in spots it was not as appealing to me as most other cities and towns I visited in the North of Germany. Even so, in some ways it was an added bonus and I'm sure that had I been there a few hours longer, I would have discovered features in the city that would have endeared it more to me. I certainly cannot be considered a good judge based on a little under two hours.

• Cons:Nothing really.
• In a nutshell:For me, a happy accident.
