Why Grinzing?

This was my second visit to Vienna, so naturally the primary purpose of my visit was to see the things I had missed the first time. Grinzing was one of them.

Maybe I didn't look far enough.....

The little church......

I stayed three nights in Grinzing and whilst I was very happy with my accommodation at the Hotel Muellner and with the location as regards getting into Vienna easily, I would be lying if I didn't say that Grinzing itself was a little disappointing. Obviously I was not there at the right time of year for the famous partying in the taverns at night, because although I went up to the main part of the little town, where the restaurants etc are situated, the whole atmosphere was particularly quiet, even on Friday night. Maybe I didn't look far enough.

Will I return?..

I guess the big question is "would I return?" The answer is that yes I would. I love Vienna with a passion and although Grinzing was not what I had expected, I still loved the little hotel and found it very conveniently located and of course, at the right price.

Pros and Cons

Pros:A wonderful hotel........
Cons:Not as exciting as I would have liked....
In a nutshell:Maybe next visit, my timing will be better....

Kate, we caught the train and tram(I think) early evening from Vieana for dinner expecting great things. Mostly coach tours in restaurants. We did find a nice restaurant, but difficult.
