Restaurant Name: Ebb Restaurant

Ebb is a great destination for beautiful views, excellent service, lovely use of local ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere.

The interior is filled with natural light (day bookings) and a terrace to view the lovely river vista. Evening bookings will find discrete lighting and tables nicely spaced to allow privacy. The decor is 'costal chic'.

The menu is a nice balance of international flavours, with the slightest leaning towards Pacific Rim. Local produce is featured, and the menu features seasonal ingredients.

Watch out for the complimentary 'kitchen tasters' and the delightful sommaliers!

Favorite Dish: The chocolate dipping pot with fresh fruit is out of this world!

Restaurant Name: The Wine Bar

This would be my favourite restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. I am a city girl at heart, and this restaurant feels like it has been transplanted from somewhere a little more sophisticated than our beach location. All the coastal friendliness and relaxed vibe is still here, but the menu is sophisticated, the decor smooth and the service outstanding.

As the name suggests, the cellar is impressive and knowledgable staff very helpful and matching dishes to the extensive by-the-glass options....or the bottle, depending on how big a night it's going to be!

A feature for those travelling with a larger group is the private dining room. The glassed-off room is lined with full wine racks, ensuring privacy. The huge dining table seats 10 and no extra cost is incurred to enjoy your private party room - just the ability to fill it!

Favorite Dish: The menu evolves constantly, so it's hard to nominate favourites. However, if you have a the time and inclination, the degustation menu of about 6-7 courses with matching wines is divine. It is always available and only requires a minimum of 2 people ordering. Approximately A$85pp.

Restaurant Name: The Boatshed

This is a local favourite and correspondingly busy - reservations recommended!

The restaurant is open-sided and rolls out under a massive Morten Bay Fig tree towards the Maroochy River. When evening summer breezes are blowing and the wine is flowing, you can't find a better place.

The food is good without being outstanding, but you get a really nice steak or seafood meal, fresh salads and a decent glass of wine in a top location.

Favorite Dish: You must try the coconut-battered prawns with roasted banana and the caramalised rum syrup dressing. I know it sounds odd, but they are famous for it and it's sensational.
