"why live in Torrington???" Torrington by jr1001

good question. it's a bit run down. a 19th century regional industrial town whose best days are loooong past. but it's set among beautiful hills where there are lots of great nature walks and drives. it's also pretty cheap living, so it works for me now. chances are anyone reading this will never go to Torrington as a travel destination, but the surrounding area, Litchfield County, is exquisite all year round (especially in Autumn). lots of hiking, B&Bs, pretty drives, nice rivers & forests and even views. say hello if you are coming this way.
