Introduction
I was born in Portugal. When I was 3 years old my family and I went to Mozambique and right after its independence we returned to Europe. After serving two years in the army I immigrated myself to Canada. Finally I came to Macau and I started my family.

Family
Having a family is one of the most wonderful things in this world.

Knowing your world at the same time you watch your kid growing, it is definitely the best prize you could get in this life.

For a better world
Such different places, such different peoples, customs, foods, and yet the same dwelling place, the same world.

The more we travel the more we know this world and realize that wars, fights, jealousy, revenges, racism, etc., are meaningless because this life is so short, nobody is going to live more than anybody else.

We should instead together try to improve now the conditions of this world that belong to all of us, at least we should think a little bit more about the next generations because everyone of us is a citizen of this world.

Planet Earth is my motherland
If I wanted to stay or live in a specific country I should be able to do so because as a citizen of this world I possess the right to have access to any piece of land. Patriotic talking like “I am very proud to be Portuguese” or “I am very proud to be British”, whatever, it really turns me off.

My life, my travels
I have traveled since childhood but I won’t be able to show you pics of the most places I have been so far, either because I didn’t have a camera or simply because I didn’t have the passion of taking shots. It wasn’t until I recently joined the Virtual Tourist club that I gained a new interest for photography.

Maputo (ex-Lourenço Marques) – I lived here from 1966 till August of 1976

Viana do Castelo – I lived here from 1976 to 1977 ........ eating

Estremoz – I lived here from 1977 to 1978

Setúbal – I lived here from 1978 to 1982

Vidago (1),(2),(3) - I lived here from 1982 to 1984 where I received my first degree in Cuisine

Tancos – Here I served two years in the Parachute Troops School from 1984 to 1986

Porto – I lived here from 1986 to 1987

Montreal - I lived here from 1987 to 1989

Vancouver – I lived here from 1989 to 1991

I have been living in Macau since 1991 ....................... eating

After settling down in Macau I have done a lot of traveling in Asia. Countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China I have been there many times.
