The old Castles Country
Portugal as born in 12 th century, though battles and big wars, we became in the 16th century the biggest smaller country in the world.
Since the decolonization the biggest became the smaller.
So now we are small but we are very proud of it. Portuguese likes his country.
I recomend this site about a lot of Portugal:

Have a good trip to Portugal
" Wine are like men,
they get better with time"
From North to South, Portugal shows a vast variety of wines, from the pleasant freshness of Green wine to Port wine, the most
generous in the World.
I love PORTO WINE but i don't forget MADEIRA WINE as well.
My favourite table wines are the Alentejo ones. A region of high quality wine's production.
- Pros:History, Food, People, a little of everything
- Cons:no Con's
- In a nutshell:Great Country

It is so good to meet you here on VT and to trake a virtual trip to Pretty Portugal. So much sunshine. Easy to rate your useful tips. Greetings from Ireland. ronaldbarr
Catarina, a great view of Portugal and it's many delightful places to visit! Nice T'Logue of the Tagus River too! I'm sorry that I was so tired each day that I missed all that Nightlife till 5 AM. Hey, the road system is much better than you let on!
Portugal is one of the only countries I haven't visited in Western Europe yet. Need to book a flight there soon, since it's so cheap nowadays to fly there. Your Obidos piccie is very good, it looks like an interesting town!
Catarina, Yes, your country is wonderful as are the people. Helpful tips that are interesting to read. Good restaurant, transportation, and hotel tips also.
Great overview with excellent photos! Hehe....1.05 € for gasoline? Sounds pretty cheap for me :-D You must pay a fifth more here
Very nice page about our lovely country Catarina. Keep adding tips :-) Btw, what i miss more when i am out of Portugal is the food and the coffee as well :-)
I am planning my visit to Portugal and with your nice pages you've helped me a lot. Browsing through virtualtourist I liked so much how often you made efforts to lend a helping hand to different members. Muito obrigada - csutiluca
