The town

Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, situated in the municipal area of Monachil, is reached by the highest road in Europe, just 25 minutes from Granada.

It is the highest massif in Western Europe after the Alps, with the highest peaks of the Iberian Peninsula (Mulhacén 3,481m and Veleta 3,398m).

It is great go up and down on the cable car, they have lots of them there we went on the Telecabine one. more travel advice

I remember being in Granada and everyone was going here to Sierra Navada, now I know where they were going :-)

Wow, this is an amazing page Catarina! I did not realize that there was so much snow in April in southern Spain! Great photos of the snow, and your husband freezing!!
