Traditional Dancing

You will most probably have your first experience of traditional song and dance at the airport when you arrive.
We were also entertained before we went on our sunset cruise, as part of the package.
Traditional music usually consists of percussion instruments and thumb piano, accompanied by singing very harmoniously.

Beer

Zimbabwe does produce their own beer. Where ever I travel I usually try the local beers. I had two local beers, Golden Pilsner and Zambezi Lager.
Both were very nice, smooth beers and very enjoyable.

Bargaining

You will have to bargain quite hard to get to the price you are prepared to pay. It does take some time, so don’t be in a hurry when you are shopping for local craft etc. My friend bought an item of which the initial price was 85 US $, and he eventually paid 20 US $.
The best is to have an idea what the item is worth to you when bargaining.
It seems that many locals are prepared to swop their crafts for T-shirts, shoes etc.
