Tsitsikamma Nasionale Park Travel Guide: 75 reviews and 188 photos
The Tsitsikamma National Park is known to me since childhood. I visit this beautiful place almost once a year. It was previously called Stormsriver mouth, as this is exactly what it is.
The Park is a protected area and very well preserved.
There are many things to do in this area, and a visit does not have to be restricted to the Park alone.
The Park is about 170km from Port Elizabeth via the N2.
It is part of the Garden Route and not too far from Knysna or Plettenberg Bay.
The Park has indiginous forests, the Indian Ocean, fynbos, more than 200 birds species etc to offer.
Within short distances from the Park you can bungee, do tree top tours, hiking (The famous Otter-hiking trail) etc.
- Pros:Everything
- Cons:It's not a well kept secret anymore

Looks beautiful but very popular...
It's nice to get ñlose to Naure! Thanks for sharing, Pierre! ><><><
Tsitsikamma really is a beautiful part of South Africa. Whenever we should be driving CT to PE we always stop off here.
Very interesting page!!!
Good tips on Tsitsikamma & Storms River. We used to spend many weekends there long ago. It made me homesick. Thanks!
Great page! We came here on honeymoon in 2001. Did you know a lot of it has burnt down??? Terrible :(
I visited this park when it was called Storms River Mouth. We went on the hike to the bridge and it was a great walk. I didn't realize the name had been changed. Thanks for the memories.
