A wonderful small city/town in Burgundy. Beaune deserves more than just a day. There is a lot to do and see.
Very friendly people, great food, good wine and ancient history.

Hello, Pierre! I see it's a splendid destination in France! So many places to visit! ><><><
Dag Pierre! Mooi fotos. Lovely little page about this pretty village. How did the wine compare to South African wines? (in your opinion). The architecture is interesting here.
A very nice page - it brought back memories. Thanks.
Our visit to Burgundy was long ago. It is satisfying to learn that it is still unspoiled (although infrequently visited). You will enjoy Brittany and Normandy also.
Great info. My wife & I are visiting Burgundy this May (2008). We are staying south of Beaune at Domaine Laflaive. We love your Beaune page. Can you recommend any wineries that are open to the public that we can visit without a guided tour?
Those nice pictures of Beaune bring back great memories. I'll be back to see more. Sorry for the french comment
